EA baseboard Dual UART ??

Hi,

I am trying to use the rs232 port on the EA baseboard, but it is not connected directly to a UART but via a dual UART IC SC16IS752 using I2C. I read the SC16IS752 datasheet and could not get any idea how to set data so it will output as UART signal before going to the level shifter.

Are there any examples that does this? I have no experience in using I2C devices

Just do a search on this forum and you will find a I2C driver, should be easy to port to your µC. If i'm not mistaken it was written by Rob65.
