Hello.

I have encountered problem with debugging LPC4357-EVB board by LPC-link2.
Error occurs when I used external flash for debugging.
I recieved the following error message.

Error in final launch sequence
Failed to execute MI command:
-break-insert -t -f main
Error message from debugger back end:
Cannot access memory at address 0x140005d8
Cannot access memory at address 0x140005d8

I am sure that the flash driver used is correct because I can download my program to the flash.
And there is no problem with debugging the same circumstance by lpc-link1.

This problem does not occur when I use internal flash.

Thanks,

Kim

Thank you for your reply.

It seems the problem solved by setting "Reset Script" as you mentioned.
Thank you for your help.

If you want to use external flash rather than the built in flash, then you will first of all need to edit the memory configuration of your project (as described in the LPCXpresso User Manual) and make sure that you are using an appropriate external flash driver. You will need to check the specs for your board for which external flash device is being used, check the specs for the flash device, then check out:

http://www.lpcware.com/content/faq/lpcxpresso/lpc18-lpc43-external-flash-drivers

I would also suggest editing the launch configuration for your project and replacing the "Reset Script" specified in the launch configuration script settings with "LPC18LPC43ExternalFLASHBootResetscript.scp". For details of how edit the launch configuration, see:

http://www.lpcware.com/content/faq/lpcxpresso/launch-configuration-menu

If this doesn't help, then please post your debug log…
