Hi,

I accidently programmed the flash with CRP1 and now I cant debug. I tried to go into ISP mode but I still cant flash erase it via LPC link. Do I have to erase it via flash magic?
The problem is im using embedded artists board and it doesnt have a rs232 connected to uart#0!  I thought to use embeded artists rs232 converter by unlinking the j51 connector and connecting to rxd,txd of uart#0.

Does anyone know how to hook it up via an external adaptor?

Regards,
Nick

Hooray,

I erased all the flash via ISP. Back to development again. :)
I appreciate your help.

Nick

Are RXD0 and TXD0 enough for ISP through RS232? So all I need to do is connect PO.2 /TXD0 and PO.3/RXDO to the adaptor?

Thanks for your time.

I got it led2 to glow the way you told me, there has to a wrong pin configuration pin on my EA board. I will try to hook an external adaptor to flash it with flashmagic as it cannot be done via eclipse it reports: Failed on connect: Em(02) MEM-AP not selected.

I dont see led2 glowing. When I press the button SW3 on EA board P2.10 goes low. Im wondering if its not going into ISP?

Sorry, i don't use an EA BaseBoard and don't know what SW3 is doing.

But you can use LPCXpresso without BaseBoard: just disconnect USB, connect P2.10 with Ground and reconnect USB again to start ISP.

When I try to go into ISP I see the two ethernet leds flashing does this always happen because they are connected to the physical layer?
Regards,
Nick

Right, they just show you connect & traffic (=ethernet).
There's no LED for ISP, but LED2 is glowing. Grounding P2.10 and reset (or power cycle) is switching to ISP very reliable.

Is there any led indication on the xpresso board that it has gone into ISP? When I try to go into ISP I see the two ethernet leds flashing does this always happen because they are connected to the physical layer?

With CRP1 you should be able to switch to ISP and use LPC-Link again. However, sometimes this doesn't work.
If you are sure that this fails, you have to use FlashMagic.
