I am having an issue activating LPC Xpresso V7.7.2

I have successfully registered both the free version and a pro version before.   I have a new machine with Windows 7.

1.) I installed the program with admin rights.

2.)  I Selected "Create Serial Number and Register" from the activation menu.

3.)  I go to the activation page and get an activation code.

4.)   After entering the code,  LPC Xpresso says I am activated and ask me to restart.

5.)  After a restart I get this message:

License type: UNREGISTERED (Code=4)
Debug limit: 8k
Activation code: not available

IF I try to register again, I have the  same issue.

A couple notes:

a.)  The path variables specified here:

https://www.lpcware.com/content/faq/lpcxpresso/windows-path-issues

are correct

b.)  The .acc and .cdm files are here:

C:\Users\Public\NXPLPCXpresso

Ideas?

I deleted C:\Users\Public\NXPLPCXpresso and the free registration worked fine.

It was funny as I had just blown away the computer and reinstalled the OS.  I thought a clean wipe was performed... but obviously not.

I was transferring my full license to a new machine and reset the current machine for another co-worker who just needed the free version.

Rereading your posts again, I've realised that you mention a cdm file - this implies you have installed a pro license at some point on this machine.

I suggest that you delete (or just rename) the NXPLPCXpresso license directory, and try activating your Free Edition again.

But why you want to activate Free if you have previously installed Pro, I'm not sure ... ?

Can you please post the screenshot you referred to in your last post?

Also, please open a DOS command shell and enter the following:

set > info.txt
cscript >>info.txt
ipconfig/all >>info.txt
wmic process get name

Then post the info.txt file that has been generated from the first 3 commands, plus the text output from the last command.

Here is another Clue.   See Attached Picture.    Look at the Welcome Screen in the background where it says the product is not activated.

I just tried installing in a Fresh Virtual Machine and it correctly activated.  This welcome screen immediately says that the product is activated.

I am trying to install the software on a "real" machine.     When I install I do run "as administrator"  There must be some sort of permission problem.   It is strange as myself (and a colleague) have installed several times on other machines with the same network setup.

I passed the "CSCRIPT TEST" and checked the "COMSPEC" environment variable and all seemed OK.

Here is the output of the "crt_emu_cm3_nxp -info-license" command:

c:\nxp\LPCXpresso_7.7.2_379\lpcxpresso\bin>crt_emu_cm3_nxp.exe -info-license

Ni: LPCXpresso Debug Driver v7.7 (Mar 31 2015 21:04:28 - crt_emu_cm3_nxp.exe bui
ld 93)

Cr:n LPCXpressoPro License - Download limit is 8K (INVALID)

I have attached a .zip with the directories specified on that hep page

In addition to the Windows path FAQ you have already found, please can you also run through this one, and post your results from the various tests.
