I just realised that now that NXP has eaten Freescale the uTasker project in fact allows NXP Coldfire, NXP Kinetis and NXP LPC2xxx/LPC17xx chips to be used almost transparently, where an application can basically be developed on one part (like an LPC2XXX) and moved to another family (like Kinetis) with little effort; rather than having to learn a completely new library and incompatible tools. Although the LPC2xxx range is maybe legacy there could still be some cases where this capability would be of value.
