Is the simulation feature included in the emWin download?  I don't see the simulation folder or any Microsoft Visual C++ files, as indicated in the emWin manual.

Hello ktownsend,

can you pls post the link that contains the solution files for visual studio 2008, cause the latest version has the files for VS2010 which unfortunately i do not have.

The latest emWin package available here includes support for all three LCDs from Embedded Artists (3.2", 4.3" and 7"), as well as full support for the simulator using Visual Studio 2008 or Visual Studio 2010.  The package is currently limited to supporting Keil and Crossworks for ARM (more IDEs will be added), but for simulation purposes this should be fine as a starting point.

The emWin demo for my devboards (IAR 1788 SK) runs the emWin sim.
