I was testing with the dev_cdc_vcom_bm example from MCUXpresso SDK, and an LPCXpresso54628 eval board.
I can configure the USB device worked in high-speed mode, and it's about 4MB/s when sending data to PC.
I want to know what the highest transfer rate can be, could it reach to 40MB/s as mentioned here https://community.nxp.com/message/760578
if I use the USB1 as a virtual com port, can that speed also be reached? and how?
Since you use USB1 as virtual com, the speed limitation is not on USB1 but your virtual com device.
What speed your virtual com device can reach?
What do you mean by virtual com device?
I am running the dev_cdc_vcom_bm example from SDK, the USB1 will be recognized as a virtual com port from the PC, LPC board send data through USB1 to PC, and PC read data through the virtual com port, the speed can reach to about 4MB/s.
My question is what's the highest speed can reach? some people said that could reach to 40MB/s, and that sounds reasonable since the high-speed USB can reach to a 480Mb/s about 60MB/s.
OK, understand.
In your case, the USB1 as virtual COM, the high-speed USB can reach to 480Mb/s.
OK, thanks.
Maybe I should change the title of this question to HOW to reach to 480Mb/s.
You are welcome!
Hi will hunt
According to LPC546xx datasheet, USB1 speed can reach 480Mbit/s.
Have a great day,
