What is the maximum external SDRAM that i can interface with LPC4337. UM10503 document, table 412 says I can interface three 256MB and one 128MB. What is MB? is ti MegaBytes or Megabits? i have read on some forums that this is Megabits. If it is Megabits why does adress range in table 412 of UM10503 seems bigger than its max capacity?
Hello Rommel,
Pls refer UM1053, page38. the memory map show the SDRAM interface will be DYCS0/1/2/3, 4parts.
the DYCS0 memory range only 128MB, the others(DYCS1/2/3) are 256MB, these maps are chip designs.
The 'MB' is megabytes, so if customer SDRAM connected use DYCS0 with LPC43xx, the capacitor will be 128MB max.
if use DYCS1/2/3 connect with SDRAM, the max capacitor will be 256MB.
SDRAM configure as pictures2(UM10503, page 612).
Please remember that most SDRAM vendor's product is only 32MBytes (256Mbits, 4M*4bank*16).
Have a great day,
Sol
