Hi everyone.

LPC-Link2 is favorite tool for me.

I'm using LPC-Link2 as a CMSIS-DAP debugger on MacOS X.
But I have faced a problem that Macbook air *often* does not recognise LPC-Link2(HID device).
# NG case is about 8/10. (Plug USB cable out and in.)

In the NO issue case, I can get the "LPC-Link-II" from system_profiler and LPC-Link2 works all right.
# system_profiler SPUSBDataType | grep LPC
            LPC-Link-II CMSIS-DAP:

- Macbook air : 2011 late, version 10.10(yosemite)
  # When I use mavericks, also this issue occurs.

- LPC-Link2 CMSIS-DAP F/W : v1.11_1 2013-12-05

When I use this LPC-Link2 and same USB cable on "Windows 8.1 update",
it always works fine as a CMSIS-DAP.

Anyone use LPC-Link2 on Mac OS environments?

Thanks,

I bought a usb hub(self-powered) and tried it.
The connectivity was dramatically improved!!

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for your quick response.

When I use LPCXpresso, I"m using LPC-Link2 as a Redlink.
And it works fine.
# Also I use the openocd with LPC-Link2 as a CMSIS-DAP.

So I wonder that Macbook can not find LPC-Link as CMSIS-DAP.
# umm, a usb block in the firmware(CMSIS-DAP) has a compatibly problem to Macbooks?

Yes, I have tried a different USB port.
But I do not know that Macbooks have problems on power supplying.
I'll try to use a USB hub with power supplying and many thanks!

I assume you are using LPCXpresso? If so, have you tried using LPC-Link2 as a Redlink probe instead? You will find it is much faster than CMSIS-DAP. Just remove JP1.

Also, have you tried a different USB port, or using a (powered) USB hub? Macbooks often have problems supplying power to a Link2...
