When going to a supplier (Farnell UK) to price/order specific devices, I see that there are two

apparently identical entries with differing NXP part numbers.

In this case, LPC1313FBD48 and LPC1313FBD48,151.

They have the same specifications!

What is the meaning of the ",151" suffix?

That's just the indication of packing method, like tray vs. reel. You can find a list of these codes here: http://www.nxp.com/documents/other/PackingLetterCodeusedinOrderablePartNumber.pdf

The three letter packing code is repeated in the last three digits of the twelve-digit "12NC" NXP ordering code. Parts with different packing options therefore have multiple ordering codes. For the LPC1313FBD48/01 there is apparently only one option: 9352 950 13151 indicates tray packing.

Be aware that besides the LPC1313/01 there is still the older LPC1313 for legacy projects!
