Lifetime of LPC controllers?

We want to modernize a design based on an LPC1752 (Cortex M3, 64k ROM, 16k RAM, 100MHz). I tried to figure out how long the LPC1752 will be available, but did not manage to find a definite answer.

All I got was that they generally guarantee a 15 years availability, but not when this window starts. If it starts with the original issue date of the chip - which was 2009 IIRC - then this would run out next year.

Their website lists the chip as "active" without an explanation what this really means.

Is there anyone who can enlighten me?

Hi @estateway

The LPC1752 has reached the end of its longevity.

Although it is still listed as active on the website, we cannot guarantee its availability in the coming years.
Therefore, for new designs, I highly recommend using our new MCX series products, and you may consider the MCXA family.

Thank you.
