Dear Madame, Sir,

We're considering to use the LPC55S6x for a new design to replace the KL27.

However, we have some specific questions where I didn't find an answer in the datasheet.

1. VDD is specified from 1.8V (min) to 3.6V (max) for the LPC55S6x. For the previous design (KL27) a 1.8V supply is used which is really on the limit. The KL27 was specified to 1.71V (min). Is it possible to spec the LPC55S6x down to 1.71V as well? What is the impact if the supply goes (slightly) below 1.8V?

2. The KL27 has an internal 3V3 regulator for USB. The LPC55S6x requires an external USBx_3V3. Is it possible to have this supply floating when USB is not used?

3. Do you know if a WLCSP package variant is scheduled?

Best regards

Wouter

Wouter Quartier , USBx_3V3 should be connected with MCU_VDD(3.3V) directly if USB not used, it can not be floating when USB is not used.

There is No plan for WLCSP package right now

Have a great day,

Hi Wouter,

1. if your VDD supply is less than VDD min (1.8v), we can't grantee the chip work normal. please don't do that.

2. Normally the termination of unused pins are documented in datasheet. I just check LPC55s69 datasheet, this part is in status of TBD. I will check with the related team when this data can be available.

3. I will check it. If get any feedback, Will let you know.

Have a great day,
Jun Zhang

Hello,

One additional question, what is the maximum supply voltage for VDD_PMU? A typical value of 1.1V is mentioned and a limiting value of 1.26V but what is the maximum operational value?

I would like to use a 1.2V supply that is used already for an other device.

Best regards

Wouter
