Hello,

I'm facing an issue where my LPC55s36 controller isn't detecting any SWD devices while running programs in MCUXpresso IDE.

I'm using MCUXpresso IDE v11.9.0 with LPC55s36 development board https://www.nxp.com/part/LPC5536-EVK#/ . I've been able to successfully program the board in the past, but suddenly encountered this issue.

I've tried to erase the board in ISP mode by shorting JP25 of board and pressing reset and then using GUI FLASH Tool to erase the memory but still the error persists.

Hi,

From your description, I see that you you use LPC55S36-EVK board.

You can not connect the on-board device, pls try to delete the *.launch file in the project, and clock "debug " again to download the code, then check if you can detect the probe device.

2)If the above step fails to detect the probe, I suppose that the on-board probe is broken down.  Pls follow up the 3.2 Installing device drivers and updating MCU-Link firmware in the UM of LPC55S36 to update firmware for the on-board probe. I attach the UM of LPC55S36.

Hope it can help you

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion. I followed your instructions and deleted the *.launch file from the project. I then attempted to debug the code again, but unfortunately, the error still persists, and I am unable to detect the SWD devices.

As per the second statement, I have also followed the instructions in section 3.2 of the LPC55S36 User Manual (LPCXpresso55S36UM_REV3) to install device drivers and update the MCU-Link firmware. Initially, the MCU-Link firmware version 3.133 was installed on my system (Windows11). As per your suggestion, I installed the new version available on the NXP website, which is version 3.128.

However, despite updating the firmware, I am still encountering the same issue with detecting the SWD devices. I have ensured that the installation process was carried out correctly according to the user manual.

Please let me know if there are any additional steps or troubleshooting methods that I should try to resolve this issue. Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

Pls connect the usb cable on the link2 usb connector(J1), then open the Device Manager menu, check if you can see the MCU-Link device.

This is the menu when I connect the J1 usb connector with PC.

Hope it can help you
