Do any hobbyists know where I can buy the LPC1114FN28/102 (DIP) package for cheap?

I bought a boatload back in 2013 for only about $1.50 per chip.

I checked the price just recently (at mouser.com and newark.com) and the price for a single is showing atleast $6. Really?

At newark.com, it also shows "available until stock is exhausted." Is the DIP package back on the chopping block?

Last time I needed some, I got them from a supplier via Aliexpress.  Fortunately I didn't need them quickly - They took about 3 weeks to arrive.

The description strikes me as a little odd, but the 'item specifics' looks correct.

This is better than any deal I was able to find on my own! You have been a great help.

@vtw.433e

I checked my old receipts and my memory is way off. I bought 30 ea, for ~$2.50 per, back in Jan 2013.

I am just buying more for hobby-type projects. I would not be able to find any use for quantities that large.

Thanks!

According to Mouser, the buy 1 price is about $6 but the buy 2500 price is about $2.50. Perhaps if you bought 10000 you would get them for close to $1.50.

Hey! I appreciate your response.

Maybe $1.50 was the get-you-hooked price, but $6+ is the find-alternative-now! price for me...

Take it easy.

According to the NXP Techzone, they are going to be made until 2022.

The $1.50 price was probably a introductory/get you hooked pricing.

Hope this helps.
