Configuration of external SPI RAM as memory mapped access in LPC1778 microcontroller

Hi all,

As part of our customized controller board(LPC1778 based), we have used external SPI interfaced RAM memory of 1 Mbit device. So it is possible to configure this memory to be used as extended memory to our controller. Is there any other mechanism to map it as another bank of memory.

Hi,

The LPC1778 has spifi interface,in general,  if you connect the spi RAM to the spifi interface, you can allocate the spifi RAM to the address 0x2800_0000 to 0x28FF_FFFF, when the core access the above address, the spifi module can generate the spifi timing to access the spifi RAM.

Can you tell us the part number of the spi RAM so that we can have a check?
