We are now using the LPC11U24FBD48/401 chipset for mass production. Just for a backup, may I ask that is there an alternative chip that can replace it but without changing the firmware.bin?

Thanks very much in advance.

Hi, HerrPhy,

Pls download the data sheet of LPC11U2x from the link:

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/LPC11U2X.pdf

Pls refer to the Fig 4, all the LPC11U22FBD48/301, LPC11U23FBD48/301,LPC11U24FBD48/301, LPC11U24FBD48/401 are pin to pin compatible, but only  the memory size are different.

Thanks for the reply. Can I use other serial like 11U34FBD48/421 or 11U35FBD48/401 to replace the 11U24 serial chip? Are they also binary code compatible?

Hi, HerrPhy,

I have compared the pin assignment for the 11U34FBD48/421, 11U35FBD48/401 and LPC11U24FBD48/401, I think the pin assignment are the same, pls check again yourself.

Regarding the "binary code compatible" question, I am sure all of them are binary code compatible, because they use the same core ARM Cortex-M0.

Hope it can help you

And also we don't wanna change the PCB so it should be a pin-2-pin compatible to LPC11U24FBD48/401
