Calculating Time elapsed (ultrasonic etc)

Hi, i searched through manual  for long time and now im confused, how can i calculate time elapsed for ultrasonic or other stuff?

i don't understand the difference between different timers mentioned in manual !

Hi Kamhagh,

Which LPC17xx series are you looking at? Also, it seems you have figured out a solution...let me know if you run into any problems. Our LPCOpen software platform will be useful as the timers will be wrapped in an API to make it easy to start and stop any timers to calculate time elapsed.

Too anyone who may had the same problem, this website is a freaking heaven for self-learning embedded developers ! i just found it out by googling something else !
