Build-in LPC-Link2 usable like separate LPC-Link2?

Stupid question: Is the build-in LPC-Link2 in the LPCXpresso board equivalent to use like a stand-alone LPC-Link2 board? The amount of pins say 'no' to me, but asking is not so expensive ...

Does it make sense to list the differences or are they too different?

If you want to just use it as a debug probe - it works exactly the same as a standalone LPC-Link2 as far as my experience goes.

You just need to change a couple of jumpers, as described in the section "Debugging an external board using the built-in debug probe" at:

http://www.lpcware.com/LPCXpressoV2Boards

All of the other headers fitted to the standalone LPC-Link2 board seem to be really just for if you are using the Link2 board as an LPC4370 eval board rather than as a debug probe.
