Hi Nitin,

The next generation of Kinetis SDK is called MCUXpresso SDK – available now (under the Kinetis SDK name; new MCUXpresso branding is applied in Nov 2016 release)

Customers who are using Kinetis SDKv2 for their Kinetis designs should continue using Kinetis SDK v2. Kinetis SDKv2 will undergo a change in name only – no architecture changes so customers will be able to seamlessly move to MCUXpresso SDK when available.

Have a great day,
Jennie Zhang

Hi Nitin,

Yes a nice PPT would simplify things.  I'll suggest that to the MCUXpresso team.

On the link provided before:

MCUXpresso software and tools availability

·         MCUXpresso SDK - available mid-November

o    Kinetis support available now in Kinetis SDK v2

o    LPC5411x support available now with standalone LPC SDK v2

·         MCUXpresso Config Tools available mid-November

o    Kinetis support available now in Kinetis Expert

·         MCUXpresso IDE available March 2017          ß This is the targeted time frame for new MCUXpresso IDE that supports Kinetis and LPC MCU's.

Documentation

·         MCUXpresso Software and Tools Fact Sheet

·         MCUXpresso Supported Devices   ßLPC devices….will ask why Kinetis devices not listed.

UPDATED:  The Excel Spread Sheet had filters on the prevent Kinetis devices being displayed.

To clear the "Data filter" click on the "DATA" tab at top, click "Clear" to the right of the "Filter" icon.  Save file.

We will ask marketing team to fix this.

Regards,

David

Thanks DavidS‌, I am very interested in knowing MCUExpress SDK timelines, We have old products based on MQX 3.8.1 and MQX 4.1.1 and in process of opening up some new products based on KSDK 2.0, getting information on your release timelines will help us plan better.
