Issue regarding Kinetis MK20FX512VLQ12 Controller USB Communication

We are using the MK20FX512VLQ12 controller for one of our product, We tried to use a USB stack as "Communication Device Class (CDC) type", Currently we use "Code Warrior 10.6" as IDE.

USB Stack mentioned (Freescale USB Stack v3.1.3) in the link below is ARCHIVED now and not compatible for MK20FX512VLQ12,

http://www.freescale.com/products/archived/usb-stack:MEDICALUSB?fsrch=1&sr=1&pageNum=1

And in kinetics SDK 1.3.0 , the the USB example project for k20 series controller is not available for Code Warrior 10.6 (and we are not quit comfortable with integrating the IAR / KSD base project into CW10.6).

Can anyone help us with the USB stack (communication type CDC) in CW 10.6 ?

Best Regards,

Kapil Raje

Hello Kapil,

In Freescale USB Stack v4.1.1 (available in same link but displaying older versions) there is support for TWR-K70F120M which is compatible with K20_120MHz chip. There are some differences like DDR, LCD, CAN, among others but USB is compatible between these devices.

You can test Kinetis-k70 CDC example in your K20's board and it should work correctly.

I hope this can help you,

Best Regards,

Isaac
