ECC with SD card

Hi

I'm using kinetis (K27 or K64) with SD card and FatFs, ok, no problem;

I try to understand where the ECC is managed : The nand flash technology is not reliable, we must handle the errors with ECC.

Is ECC managed by the hardware controller in the sd card or is it the SDK and the filesystem that do the ECC correction ?

I thought it was in the card but the SD card builders do not talk about ECC in documentations...

Hi PO220,

From what I saw on the projects, the only places where the ECC is referenced is in the KSDK libraries.

I think that the SDK takes care of the ECC instead of the SD. 

let me investigate more about this and I will tell you.
