Hello NXP team,
I am currently working with a single-phase metering code (AN12837 )and would like to know that can i use Three phase metering code(AN13338) for a single-phase metering application also with only minor modifications. Any guidance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Thank you for your prompt response,
Actually, my goal is to develop a common base code that can be used across multiple applications. Some of these applications involve single-phase AC, while others require three-phase AC metering. To achieve this, I am considering using the three-phase metering code as a foundation, making the necessary modifications to support single-phase applications as well.
If feasible, I would appreciate your guidance on how to adapt the three-phase metering code for single-phase use while maintaining flexibility for future three-phase implementations.
Thank you for your support!
Hi @Mr7,
The metrology library in both single phase (an12837) and three phase (an13338) is same. The only difference is application side. The metrology library has structure-based support for single phase (tMETERLIBLPRT1PH_DATA) and three phase (tMETERLIBLPRT3PH_DATA). All the single-phase related parameters are defined in tMETERLIBLPRT1PH_DATA and three-phase related parameters are defined intMETERLIBLPRT3PH_DATA. If you need more information, please reach out to us.

Hello @Mr7 ,
I'm not very experienced in this matter. However, I've already asked others for assistance, and they will get back to you when they have time. Thank you for your understanding.

Hello @Mr7 ,
Thanks for your post. Before answering your question, I'd like to gain some background information. Given that we already have the single-phase metering application (AN12837), could you please explain why you are considering modifying the three-phase metering code (AN13338) instead?
BRs,
Celeste
