Hello,

You can use a J-LINK to program the microcontroller, as well as the OpenSDA. If you have a bootloader you could also program it with UART or SPI just as it is done with the Kinetis Wireless Host Application Programming Interface (Host API).

The Kinetis Wireless Host Application Programming Interface (Host API) implements the Framework Serial Connectivity Interface (FSCI) on a peripheral port such as UART, USB, and SPI; the documentation and the stack it’s located in the SDK of the FRDM-KW41Z that you can download from  MCUXpresso.

Hello,

You can find more information about the bootloader in the Kinetis Thread Stack and FSCI Bootloader Quick Start Guide.

You can find this document in the SDK release I mentioned in the first reply under the following path:

<download path>\SDK_2.2_FRDM-KW41Z\docs\wireless\Thread\

Let me know if you have any other doubt

Regards,

Estephania
