When program run to VLPS mode,how to recover

My  target board( use K40DX256  chip)  connecte  to  Kinetis KWIKSTIK-K40  board by JTAG,use IAR software .After I downlord a grogram,let target chip into VLPS mode,I don't download grogram to target from IAR again(I try disconnect  target board power,remover Kinetis KWIKSTIK-K40 form PC). The information from IAR J-link  is  Fail to get CPU status after 4 retries Retry? It seem JTAG  can't recover chip from VLPS.How I can do ？thanks.

After that ,the chip is normal download.
