When getting a new KE04Z128 is it plug and play? or we need to do something before to it? Maybe some initialize process?

We got 4 boards with KE04Z128, we connect them through JTAG/SWD.

In 3 of those boards we can't debug (in KDS) at all. On the last one it was plug and play.

What could be the difference?

Thank you.

Hi Jenia,

according to OpenSDA Serial and Debug Adapter|NXP  this board comes with OpenSDA V1 and the P&E debug application loaded. So you should be able to connect/debug to it with the P&E OpenSDA debug connection out of the box.

You say you are connect to them with JTAG/SWD (OpenSDA only supports SWD), so does this mean you are using an external debug probe?

The other thing is: if you are using Windows 10, there is a know issue (see https://mcuoneclipse.com/2016/08/01/bricking_and_recovering_opensda_boards_in_windows_8_and_10/ ), so this is maybe causing your problem?

I hope this helps,

Erich
