SDK 2.6.6 configuration error on MKE02 using MCUXpresso ide

After downloading the file SDK_26_06_00_MKE02Z64xxx4.zip and attempting to install it in MCUXpresso IDE, the following error occurs:
"MCUXpresso IDE was unable to load one or more SDK(s)". The same procedure used for the MKE02 and MKE15 did not produce any errors. Looking in the "doc" directory on SDK_26_06_00_MKE02Z64xxx4.zip, it appears that the file is relates to the MCUXpresso SDK rather than the MCUXpresso IDE, even though it was downloaded for the latter. How can this error be resolved? Where can I find the same file, but for MCUXpresso IDE?  Best regards, Carlo

Hello Luis,
The MCUXpresso IDE version is v11.5.1; the official NXP website states that the SDK 2.6.0 package for the MKE02 is supported by version v11.5.0 (if I recall correctly).
If there are version constraints, they should at least be clearly indicated on the Dashboard!
I should mention that installing the packages for the MKE04 (the "smaller brother"), MKE15, and MKL14 worked—and continues to work—without any issues.
Attached is a photo showing the information from the SDK Builder, which, as you can see, lists MCUXpresso IDE.
As you well know, nothing is immune to problems; if what I am currently using works, why waste time on other platforms?
I expect to find and download working solutions, not to be steered toward other platforms that represent unnecessary "wasted time." The inevitable result is that, in the future, I will look to other manufacturers.

Hello Carlo,

The MCUXpresso IDE version 11.5 is no longer available for download; I would strongly recommend you update to a newer version of the MCUXpresso IDE.

The SDK version 2.6.0 and 26.06.00 are very different SDK versions, The one you are downloading is the 26.06.00, used in recent IDE versions; therefore, as the device are covered in latest versions of MCUXpresso IDE [v25.06], I would recommend for your assignment to use the latest version possible, as the new releases versions implements maintenance, general fixes, newer software, features and upgrades that could prevent future issues.

About the version constraints in the dashboard, when you build the SDK and select the toolchain, the MCUXpresso IDE version to use is mentioned in the description.

Could you help us confirm which MCUXpresso IDE are you using?

It could be the version of IDE that are you using is old in comparation to the SDK version. I try using the MCUXpresso version v25.6 and it works.

Could you help us confirm if the toolchain selected in SDK builder when creating the SDK is MCUXpresso IDE?

If it was a different toolchain, this also could be the root cause.

Could you consider using MCUXpresso for Visual Studio Code? The SDK_26_06_00_MKE02Z64xxx4 is also available in that platform; let me know if you want to use this option and if you need more information.
