Question about availability

We used several K22F Kinetis family members for earlier designs for a satellite. (They worked great by the way!) They are increasingly hard to find, which is understandable because we selected them about 6 years ago.

Are there Kinetis family members -- especially K26F and K28F -- that are relatively easy to get now? All the ones I have tried show up with zero stock at DigiKey.  (Or is there another distributor that normally has more stock?)

Since we are redesigning our boards for our next mission, we want to choose parts that are as "future proof" as possible.

The more modern NXP i.MX RT family has similar peripherals that makes porting the code easier.

There is no distributor with better stock, it has been a problem for a couple of years now. Some distributors are starting to fill orders placed years ago. I myself would not start a new design with the Kinetis family.

Hi,

Thank you so much for your interest in our products and for using our community.

In this portal we are happy to help you with technical support questions, but everything related to stock and lead time is directly with your distributor in Distributor Network.

I thank you for your understanding about it.

Hope it helps you.

Have a nice day!
