Problem installing USB KW40Z virtual COM driver

I have programmed OpenSDA v2.1 CMSIS-DAP binary in k22f MCU and installed mbed serial port driver in my PC. Then I downloaded my program in kw40z MCU via SWD MKW40Z connector using j-link in IAR Embedded workbench because CMSIS-DAP debugger mode is not working. After that I can't able to see mbed serial port driver in my PC Device manager. So I erased MKW40Z MCU and also restarted my PC. But still it's not showing mbed serial port. Please give me a solution for this. Need to load any default bin files in kw40z MCU for enable virtual COM port?

Hi Murali N

If you don't erase the MK22 MCU, then the OpenSDA should still be there, so you could verify that you have the correct firmware if you drag and drop (in the booloader folder) the k22fn512_usb_kw40z_cmsis-dap.bin firmware available in the page:

OpenSDA Serial and Debug Adapter|NXP

If you are using windows 10 please consider the note that is in red in the above page.

Hope this could help you

Best Regards
