Hello,

We have been trying desperately to locate via brokers a batch of KINETIS ARM Cortex M4, exact code MK20DX256VLL10. Official distributors being out of stock.

The test lab has sent us a report with a "FAIL" result due to an issue with the decapsulation test.

As we are not specialists, we are not able to interpret this result and the risk behind.

Could someone have a look at the report and pictures and give us some insight if we are facing a counterfeit batch ?

Below the summary of the batch tested, attached test page of xray and decap and electrical tests.

Manufacturer Part Number: MK20DX256VLL10
Quantity: 125
Date Code: 2137
Lot Code: QAC2137A
Part Description: MCU 32-BIT ARM CORTEX M4 RISC 256KB FLASH 1.8V/2.5V/3.3V 100-PIN LQFP TRAY

Thank you very much for your help.

Hello Vincente,

Thank you for having taken the time to reply. How do I get in contact with a local NXP representative ? I'd need someone who has experience with KINETIS chips and who can verify the report or track the batch number in NXP system.

Thank you

With the information that you are attaching, yes, this part looks that is not an original NXP part, but your need to contact you local NXP representative to confirm this information
