MK20DX128VMC7 5V tolerant and more

Hello,

Do we have any data regarding MK20DX128VMC7 behavior when applying over voltage on 5V tolerant pins?

(I mean 5.5V or 6V for instance).

Shall we expect some latchup, MCU destroyed?

I also have the same question for overcurrent in same pins.

I'm sorry I made a mistake. MK20_75M is not same as MK20_100M. MK20_75M do not support 5V tolerant.

Yes, it's a little embarrassing. There is only one '5 v' in datasheet. But it is obviously that K20P100M72SF1 is 5v tolerant. I must withdraw my last words. I asked for help, but I only get below words:

from the datasheet, it support the rating value of digital input voltage is  5.5V. we don't have other data for overvoltage test, generally, it must avoid the overvoltage happen.

But this addendum only refers to MK20DX256VLK10 and MK20DN512VLK10, meaning100MHz part and not 72MHz as MK20DX128VMC7 .

Is it aslo applicable for MK20DX128VMC7 ? If yes, why we don't create same addendum for MK20DX128VMC7 ?

Which datasheet are you refering to ?

The MK20DX128VMC7 datasheet is referenced on our web site on :

And I don't see any reference to the 50µA you have mentioned above.

Can you tell where is it written, or is it internal data?

Hi Philippe,

Only digital I/O pins have 5v tolerant inputs. The digital input voltage is from -0.3V to 5.5V. So 6V exceed the range. There is no special data for pins work at 5.5v. So I believe most of data are same as those at 3.3v. You don't have to worry about latchup at 5.5V.
5V tolerant pins can't output 5v. Because VDDIO can only connect to 3.3v. So the output current parameters are all same. Input leakage current at 5.5V is 50uA max. Please look at table4 in datasheet.
