KwikStik UART with tower TWR-SER

Hi

I'm trying to use the tower TWR-SER module with the KwikStik to route UART data to my PC. I can probe the UART5 test point on the kwikstik board and see the data, but I can't get anything out of the serial module. I have all the jumpers set to RS-232. Is there something special I need to do to get this to work?

The problem seems to be with my USB-serial adapter.  It is working now.

The next issue is that I cannot connect to the kwikstik with J-link when it is plugged into the tower unit. Is there any way to do this?

Hi Dan,

              If you haven't sorted your problem already...

I think you need to connect one USB cable to provide power to the TOWER. You need a second USB link via the J-Link. IIRC you need to tell the IDE which debugger you are using.

Thank you for your reply, but that doesn't address the issue of the A/D not working. I am trying to run the adc example for twrk53 without any changes and it does 3 or 4 conversions and then just stops working.
