Hello,
we have a question to the LPUART0/1 of the KL17: what is the max. possible baudrate ?
A related question to the LPUART0/1 module clock: according to KL17P64M48SF6.pdf, page 22, the max. value is limited to 8 MHz. But according to KL17P64M48SF6RM.pdf, page 66, it can go up to 48 MHz.
With a minimum OSR of 4 we calc the max. Baudrate to be 8/4 = 2 MHz, or 48/4 = 12 MHz. From measurements, the max. Baudrate seems to be 8 MHz. Can someone help clarify this confusion ?
Greetings,
Wolfram
Hi,
The KL17 LPUART0/1 could use MCGPCLK(up to 48MHz) as communication clock, with x4 oversampling setting, the Max. baud rate could be 12Mbps.
The actual baud rate could be affected by signal delay (serial cable length) and receiver port baud rate accuracy.
Wish it helps.
Have a great day,
Ma Hui
