I am trying to estimate the power consumption of a KL05 in VLLS0 mode with the TSI enabled.
I only need to scan 1 pad/electrode every 200 ms.
I would like the lowest power possible so I am think of using the LPO to clock the LPTMR
and use it to hardware trigger the TSI scan.
What I don't understand is does the tsi always draw several uA ( based off scan rate) or does it only draw this current when the HW trigger occurs ?
Hi Dennis Hicks,
Thank you very much for your question.
Yes, you can make LPTMR do hardware trigger TSI scan.
Actually, after the TSI working, the reference oscillator and electrode oscillator is always runing, the TSI consumption is mainly from this.
So, what your doubt TSI draw several uA is always have in VLLSx, it is not caused by the HW trigger.
I wish my answer is useful to you!
If you still have question, please contact with me! Thank you!
Best regards!
