K64 Factory Programmed Firmware

We are currently developing using a TWR-K64F-120M Tower Module with a view to use a K64 processor in our own board.

Can you confirm what firmware, if any, is pre-programmed into the device from the factory?

In the Kinetis Bootloader Manual it states the following:

All future Kinetis devices will arrive with a ROM containing the Kinetis bootloader, while others will arrive pre-programmed from the factory with a one-time-use serial flashloader.

Reading the forum and applications notes, however, do not mention that this is the case. Calcification would be much appreciated.

Hello Roger Amstell:

The K64 does not have the flashloader integrated from factory. Please check the table in next product page for the supported devices in each category (flash-resident bootloader/flashloader/ROM bootloader):

Kinetis Bootloader|Freescale

From the same link you can download the bootloader firmware to use it with the K64.
