K64 ADC Voltage Reference Configurations

The #MK64FN1M0VMD12 on-board ADC is configurable to use either (VREFH and VREFL)or (VALTH and VALTL) as the voltage reference, via the ADCx_SC2.REFSEL register bits. While VREFH and VREFL are available as dedicated pins, I cannot find what pins are connected when (VALTH and VALTL) are selected as the voltage reference.

The Reference Manual states the following:

But VALTH and VALTL are never mentioned in the datasheet. Does selection of the "alternate voltage reference" simply use VDDA and VSSA?
