Is FRDM-K64F Going to Obsolete?

Hi,

I just ordered FRDM-K64F from Element14, and in its despatch note it stated that this item is no longer manufactured and the stock is only until it's exhausted. Is there any particular reason why this board is no longer manufactured? Does this means that K64F line will be obsolete soon?

Thank you

Dear Yohannes Budiono Jinawi,

The FRDM-K64F is not obsolete in fact in the webpage NXP Semiconductors | Automotive, Security, IoT  if you search for this board, the status is Active.

Hi,

I don't think K64F will be obsolete soon. But with the release of the LPC546xx, the question is: There will be newer Kinetis microcontrollers?

I suppose that NXP will release a cortex-m7 for networking and IoT applications. I would like to know if it will be a Kinetis or a LPC?

Ari.
