Hi all,

a question regarding FTM on Kinetis:

40.4.19 Input Capture Filter Control (FTMx_FILTER)

This register selects the filter value for the inputs of channels.

CHxFVAL

Channel x Input Filter

Selects the filter value for the channel input.

The filter is disabled when the value is zero.

There are 4 bits for the filter values. How is the "effect" of filtering per 1 LSB of those 4 bits?

Does it basically tell how long the input signal have to be minimum (measured in system clock cycles) to go through the filter?

Hi Guenter,

For the chapter of FTM module, here the system clock means the Fast Peripheral clock. We can find it in 'Table 6-1. Module clocks' of KV4XP100M168RM.

For detail about the Filter, please read the '40.5.4.1 Filter for Input Capture mode'.
