Emcraft has made available an initial implementation of low-power mode in Linux on the Kinetis K70 & K61 processors. Using the Linux "suspend-to-RAM" framework, the power consumption of the Kinetis running Linux (using the Emcraft System-On-Module as the hardware platform) goes down to as low as 600-700 uA while in suspend. Wake-up is instantenous on configured I/O events such as RTC alarm triggers or activity on UART RX.
