FRDM-KL25Z miss U7 MMA8451Q

The FRDM-KL25Z is missing the U7 MMA8451Q chip in the new version. This chip is an important component for this board, but I don't understand why it was removed.  Because of this, I can't use the board, yet the price has increased even though the chip has been removed. I need the old board. Please check, you removed the chip but didn't change the board model number, so when I ordered, I expected the old board, but I received the new one.

Ok. i see. I have an issue please check it how to solution it. This version change is only removed U7? If i solder this U7 MMA8451Q in board. whether can use it like as older version? Now I need an solution to disposal it. Thanks!

NXP sold all existing stock of most of their Accel/Gyros to Rochester Electronics several years ago. ST or Analog Devices is a better place to look for MEMs today.

If you are starting a new design the Kinetis line is not the line to do it in.

Thank you for contacting us. I’m sorry, we only have the new version (Rev.I) available, and the old version will no longer be produced. As noted on the FRDM-KL25Z homepage: “MMA8451Q accelerometer not soldered on Rev.I | MMA8451Q is no longer recommended for new designs.”

You may try contacting distributors or other third-party platforms to check if they still have stock of the previous version.
