Does USBDM support MK40DN512?

Hello everyone,
I want to learn more about NXP MCUs with MK40DN512VLK10 chip, which is quite popular at my university. Usually we use Segger but I want something cheap for non commercial use, so I found USBDM. I already tried to construct USBDM JTAG and SWD versions based on JS16, with newest software on board. But both of them wasn't able to program MCU's memory, but it should in theory? I'm curious if it's worth to keep trying with one of them, or the MCU is not supported?

If not, is there another (cheap)way to program my MCU?

Best regards

Thank you for your answer Iva. Do you mean that only option is in that case OSBDM? Or maybe is there any chance to use USBDM, which I prefer, because I have parts for it already.:smileywink:

Hi Michal,

according to the document USBDM: USBDM Debugger interface for Freescale RS08,HCS08,HCS12,Coldfire and ARM-Kinetis Devices. it should works.

Please, have you tried to flash another MCUs as HCS08 or Coldfire..? If there is an issue with flasher or with the MCU connection.

Please, can you attach me schematic of your device?

Thank you for your feedback!

Have a nice day.

Best Regards,

Iva
