Hi guys,
I am having trouble doing the bootloader on my FRDM K64f board. I've done the steps on the site (https://www.nxp.com/design/microcontrollers-developer-resources/ides-for-kinetis-mcus/opensda-serial-and-debug-adapter:OPENSDA?&tid=vanOpenSDA# FRDM-K64F)
by downloading the firmware which in my case is DAPLink and I also downloaded the Arm IDE toolchain.
I pressed the reset button for 1s while connecting to the pc and opens the folder FRDM-K64FD (: D), I never get BOOTLOADER Drive to copy the .bin file there. I have tried it on Win10 and Win 7 and the error holds. And the reset LED stills red color.
In the images below you can check the messages I get when I try to bootloader:
So I think this happens because the bootloader driver never comes to me.
But if the problem is different, please tell me how I can solve this problem please, it's for my masters these.
thanks
Catarina Querido
Hi Catarina,
I'll be happy to assist you in finding out with your error message.
I'd like to know when you are downloading the binary file which one are you choosing for the FRDM-K64. I understand you want the DAPLink but which one are you choosing(so I can test it on my end).
Also which ARM IDE toolchain did you choose?
If you can try again, please erase the files from the FRDM-K64 when you are in bootloader mode and drag the new binary you downloaded again. Let me know if during this process the files you described again appear during the copying of the binary.
Please let me know the results.
Best Regards,
Sabina
Hi Sabina,
I apreciate a lot your help.
About the binary file I have tryed both DAPLink rev0244 and DAPLink rev0244
OpenSDA v2.2 Bootloader.
And about ARM IDE I choose ARM CMSIS-DAP serial drivers, and when I run it
they show this:
I choose this ARM IDE because I use MCUXpresso and whem I'm doing debbug I
choose MCUXpresso IDE LinkServer (inc. CMSIS-DAP) probes.
I think I never had been in bootloader mode because dont shows me a folder
said botloader to drop the files, I thonk Taht I'm always in the normal
mode in FRDM-K64F.
Thank you again,
Catarina Querido
