I am using a K64F in MAPBGA 144 package and have a debug header wired to the MCU requiring routing of the TRACE_CLKOUT signal to pin D3. The K64 Sub-Family Data Sheet indicates in the Pinout chapter that pin D3 can be routed for TRACE_CLKOUT using the ALT5 mux configuration. By contrast, I noticed that in the MCUXpresso Config Tools > Pins view > Peripheral Signals tab, the SIM > CLKOUT signal only has two pins available to it: A11 and J7. This is in direct conflict with the K64 Sub-Family Data Sheet. Which information is accurate?

Hi,

The D3 is not belong to the SIM. It belongs to TPIU. You will find D3 under the peripheral TPIU.

Have a great day,
