Ik krijg volgende foutmelding bij het zoeken naar updates en het installeren van new software in Kinetics Design Studio V3.2.0
No repository found at http://gnuarmeclipse.sourceforge.net/updates.
Iemand een idee wat er mis is?
Hi all,
I have tried to put the zip file into the Kinetis and get the pyocd debugger but seems not working. Any ideas?
Thank you!
Best regards,
Frances
Hello,
I have the same problem, specifically for the repo "http://gnuarmeclipse.sourceforge.net/updates". I get the error:
"No repository found at http://gnuarmeclipse.sourceforge.net/updates."
It's a bit that i have this problem, I search around but it seems the URL is ok, is there some other problems?
Thanks,
Sandro
Sandro, I'm experiencing this same issue too. I found some references to strong encryption changes applied by sourceforge as root cause for some similar issues and applied the patches as suggested by Oracle. The original error I was experiencing is the one described here: GNU ARM Eclipse plug-ins: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure.
Have you succeeded on solving this issue?
Hello Victor,
thanks for writing and helping. I just tried your suggestion, but it doesnt work for me.
I replaced the jars in every version of JRE and JDK I have, but the result is the same.
I also get the handsdhake_failure stuff, but the JCE files doesnt solve the problem.
It is frustating that anyone in NXP dont know the solution...it is a bit that I posted the question...
I didnt understand: for you this solved the issue? Maybe the jars have to be placed in some other places than the standard java path? Maybe there are new version of the jars?
Thanks again for the time you took for me!
Sandro
Sandro, I'm sorried, but I've not been able to solve it yet. I gave some more info to Alice in my post a little bit up in this thread here: (https://community.nxp.com/message/874633?commentID=874633#comment-874633).
In my case, for solving the security exception (ProvisionException) in Java, I had to copy the jars in the JRE that comes with KDS, in my installation there was a copy in folder C:\Freescale\KDS_v3\eclipse\features\com.somniumtech.jre.win32.win32.x86_1.7.0.76\jre\lib\security. After doing that my error changed from java security exception (handshake_failure) to repository not found.
I've posted a question in the support forum for the GNU ARM Eclipse plug-ins, here: GNU ARM Eclipse Plug-ins update site not working? | element14 | GNU ARM Eclipse .
I'll let you know if anyone replies with a working solution.
Regards, Victor
What worked for me is (as a workaround):
1. Download the zip file from GNU ARM Eclipse Plug-ins Releases
2. In KDS/Eclipse, use menu Help > Install New Software and then point to the zip file (or use drag&drop):
Thanks a lot Erich,
Have you tested the J-Link debugging plug-in that comes with the latest release?
One more question, do you use to make regular updates of the J-Link support that comes with the KDS? Any recommendations/thoughts about it?
Hi Victor,
I have not formally tested it, but I'm using with KDS V3.2.0
GNU ARM C/C++ J-Link Debugging 4.1.2.201701141320
Segger J-Link Software V6.12i
in my daily work and that works well for me.
Erich
Thanks again!
Regards, Victor
Thanks Erich,
so there is an open issue about this.
Thank you for the temporary workaround! We wait for the solution with no hurry now :smileyhappy:
Regard,
Sandro
Thanks Lorenzo, now the first issue is gone!
...a very easy to find java-path :smileywink: I supposed that could be another ( ! ) RE installation but I couldnt find it.
Now I am in your same condition, I hope someone will help us...
Keep me informed, thank you again!
Regards
Sandro
Hello Kurt,
Sorry i can't understand your question , could you please describe it in English, thank !

Ok Alice, it worked for you, but not for some of us.
Did your software support/maintennance team applied any change in your Java or KDS installation lately? Maybe one of your collegues knows a working solution for this issue?
In my case, when trying to access manually the update site (direct download of the content.xml file), the response from sourceforge is
The "/Eclipse/updates-tes..tes-test/content.xml" file could not be found or is not available. Please select another file.
It makes me think that maybe the update site has changed. Do you know of any alternative update site for upgrading the GNU ARM pluggins in KDS?
