Older versions of GUI Guider

I have a GUI Guider 1.7.x project and need to re-work it, however 1.7 is no longer available on the website and 1.10 will only update projects from 1.9 and 1.9 (which I have installed but have no binaries for) will only update from 1.8. 

How can I work around this issue, please? I have no particular objections to updating to the latest versions but I want to be methodical to avoid compatibility disasters.
