Long programming time (~17s) for MWCT22C3A (DSC) using PEmicro Cyclone – firmware only 128KB

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing longer than expected programming time when flashing the MWCT22C3A (DSC architecture, 56800E core) using a PEmicro Cyclone programmer (standalone mode). The firmware size is only about 128 KB, but the complete programming cycle takes around 17 seconds. I would like to know if this is normal or if there are ways to reduce it.

Hello @zhusuce ,

Thanks for your post. When the programming script includes multiple steps such as a full-chip erase, blank check, byte-by-byte or page-by-page verification, CRC checks, security configuration, and reset delays, it is possible for the total programming time to reach 17s.
If you would like to reduce the number of steps to shorten the programming time, we recommend contacting our third‑party partner, PEmicro Support, for further optimization guidance.

Hope it helps and have a nice day.
