I'm working on a vintage design / hardware, from the 1990's using DSP56301
The JTAG scan chain works, the correct BSDL file is what I require to educate the software

Hello @mjd_bishop ,
Thanks for you post. It's such an old product. I only find IBIS file for it.
However, you can go to the website and try to request the file:
Microcontroller Symbols, Footprints and Models | NXP Semiconductors
Hope it can help you.

Celeste

Hello @mjd_bishop ,
I can find the BSDL for DSP56301 on the Search | NXP Semiconductors. What's your model? You can find it through the search function on the official website of NXP.

Hi @Celeste_Liu
Thank you for the pointer - I have downloaded BSDL for 56301 rev A B C for 208 tqfp
The next issue is which BSDL file corresponds to a 1F48S device revision
With a suplementary question of where this information is tabulated, not on the silicon Errata sheet
Best Regards
Martin
Hello @mjd_bishop ,
According to my understanding,
I don't think there is a strong correlation between the bsdl file and the chip mask. A new revision will only be issued when we find problems with the bsdl. Eg,
Therefore, I think you should refer to Rev C.
Hope it can help you.

Celeste
