Hi,

I'm wondering if the flash programmer can be used not with Codewarrior. Typically, I have a standard version of codewarrior on my computer to develop. But to flash my equipements, I want to use another computer.

Am I obliged to pay another codewarrior license on the other computer even if I don't want to develop on it?

Is there another flashing tool independant with codewarrior?
I have tried CF flasher but it is just for evaluation boards and the help topic specifies that it is not to be used for production line programming (what I just want to do).

Thanks

Mickael

You use CodeWarrior to write the program and then generate either and ELF or S-record output file with it. For that, you need a license. Once that output file's code is frozen and CW is no longer being used, then there's no restriction on what you use to burn it into Flash. (Unless it's the CW debugger, then you'd need a license for the second machine.) There are plenty of production Flash programmers available. Use the forum search function (the text box at the bottom left of the page) to enter the phrase "production programmer", and you'll get hits on a lot of forum threads. Some of thse should have the information you need.

hi Tom,

thank you for that link, these programmers seems OK.

But actually, I already have a CodeWarrior USB Tap BDM. I would like to use it not with codewarrior but with another free software just like CF Flasher. (CF Flasher is OK but does not handle my configuration and works only with parallel BDM, not USB)

faithfully,
