we already have lot of lisence about codewarrior or coldfile during long time, about 20 years.
as you know Windows os XP->... 10, 11...
i remember that over the windows 10 OS, our dongle does't recognize anymore.
for example, so Freescale company send me permanent license about codewarrior V8.0
can you support ColdFire V7 license?
You haven't clearly stated what your problem is. There are random statements, but nothing clearly stating what you're trying to do and what isn't working. I've never used CW, so I don't know what's meant to happen when a license works or doesn't, or the debug pod drivers work or don't. So you should list how it USED to work, what has changed, what's happening now and what you'd like to happen.
Tom
Are you sure it is WIN10 and not a 32/64 bit problem? Is it a problem with CW or is it the drivers for your dongle (you didn't say which one you were using). Dongles (like PE Multilink) come with tools you can use to see if they're working separately from running under CW, so you could try that.
The universal way to keep being able to develop is to keep a Win XP machine alive, either physically or (as we do for running old compilers) as a VM.
Tom
thank you for your reply.
i already tried 32, 64 bit, using number of 3 PC.
also i tried VM ware. so, we can check dongle light on, in device manager driver was success.
but when i check License in CW, can not check any license.
as your mention, we used have Win XP pc during 20 years...
i just wonder that NXP have method solve this problerm.
thank you
Hi,
For the CodeWarrior for ColdFire (Classic IDE) V7.2 with below system requirements:
You could find [Licensing and Registration Support] info at bottom of this webpage. There listed how to install the USB Dongle info.
If there still with issue to install CodeWarrior license, customer could visit NXP support portal to submit a service request. Thanks.
