Hello

I ordered and received a new tower kit from Mouser electronics (MCF5225x with display option).  The provided software was for windows XP.  My PC has windows 7. The provided software installs into w7 but the USB driver fails to see the unit?  I downloaded from the freescale sight the CodeWarrior Development Studio and it appears to do something different.

My 2 questions are:

1) where do I find the updated (new user demos) for the tower kit I have

2) How do I know that m PC can see the tower kit (the device shows up in the Device Mnager) but the "MQX Tools" operation is not connecting...

I would like to play with my new toy

Hi,

Greeting for your new toy! :smileyhappy:

I am not sure if you had update the OSBDM driver. It appears that there has some problems with the OSBDM device driver installed. Please to follow the steps below to re-install the OSBDM driver:

* Open Device Manager (Control Panel, System, Device Manager)

* Open LibUSB-Win32 Devices

* Right-click on Open Source BDM and select Update Driver Software …

* Click Browse my computer for driver software

* Click the Browse button and browse to …CW MCU v10.3\Drivers\osbdm-JM60\usb\x64 where … is the CW 10.1 install path

* Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer

* Select Open Source BDM-JM60 (LibUSB W64) and then click the Have Disk … button

* Click Browse button and browse to …CW MCU v10.3\Drivers\osbdm-JM60\usb\x64 (again) and select OSBDM-JM60_X64.inf

* Click on OK to update the device driver

BTW, please install the newest CW 10.3 first.

Good luck!

Best Regards,

Fang
