I just noticed that there is an active device called the MCF52264AF80 and it also shows up at many distributors but all information points to the M52259 data sheet/user's manual where this is not mentioned.
It looks to be much like an M52252 but with 80MHz top speed and 0..105° temperature range in 100 pin LQFP.
A parametric search on the Freescale website shows that it is very similar to the 52259 except that it has 256kB flash and 32kB ram. Obviously there must be more differences, it is very odd that there is no datasheet.
